I have searched through all the Microsoft Windows 10 community forums and nothing found there works, including When I use Windows Networkĭiagnostics, it reports the problem as “Ethernet” doesn’t have a valid IP configuration. Inside Control Panel>Network Connections, it shows Ethernet as: Unidentified Network, Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. Third laptop uses a different ethernet controller and works fine.įrom this point forward, all info refers to my main laptop which is one of the two above that have this issue.
Both those laptops have the same LAN controller type, Realtek PCLe FE Family Controller. After installing the upgrade to Windows 10 Home from Windows 7, my Ethernet connection does not work on two of my three laptops.
